Our friend Nicole took us to a hockey game yesterday. It’s on her list of 101 things to do in 1001 days. Jasper was completely mesmerized. Though I had no idea what was going on I really enjoyed it. As I said in a tweet, all I know about hockey I learned from Mighty Ducks. Our team won and thankfully there was only one fight so I was glad for that. (I’m sure I looked like a dork with my mouth hanging open when the guys were fighting. The refs just stood there!) Anyway, it’s a pretty exciting sport to watch since it’s so fast paced. We were also big fans of the mascot, the Zamboni, the popcorn and especially the home team goals. Jasper and I both agreed, our first hockey game was lots of fun.
Sweeet! Glad you all got to go and that you enjoyed it. You have it a little backwards, though: the more fights, the better. :) Ha. Hockey is a fun sport, one that I’ve only really come to appreciate the past two years in Nashville. Having an NHL team here is a lot of fun, and the fans REALLY get into it.
They don’t fight as much as they used to, which is nice. Glad you had fun!
